Armored and one with his horse, the sipahi meets cavalry on the road.

Shining armor on his chest, and iron on his horse as well. Sipahis are heavy and patient; they do not chase plunder, but stand in the middle of the road and wait for the enemy's raid.

Cavalry that meets them on the road scatters as if it had struck a wall. The sipahi is the holding's distant shield, the guardian of the roads.
