Velon

The bloodline of the hundred-eyed watchers. The altar they hold in the hour of the rite exalts their name above all others.

Velon's ancestor was a watcher with a hundred eyes, and he never closed them all at once. A goddess entrusted him with her most precious treasure, and for a thousand days and a thousand nights he never left its side. Neither sleep nor trickery could take him, and the treasure changed hands only with his consent. The line of Velon grows on that oath: never let go of what you hold. On their banners are the crescent of the night watch and a single star; that star is the watcher's eye that never closes, and to them the watch is not a duty but a devotion. Once a place falls into their hands, their rivals grow weary of waiting for morning and go their own way.

What it does

Every hour you hold an altar while its rite runs is added to your score in the rankings; as a child of Velon, that score builds up 40% faster. It doesn't affect Tender.

Three rules

Once your holding is founded, your house stays with you for the whole Age. In a new Age, you choose again.

Rivals learn your house only by sending scouts; your allies can see it.

Your house's bonus adds to that of any building that does the same job.

Choose your banner.

You choose your house when you join a world. Let your banner reflect the way you play.
